Battle of Highway 43 continues

The Grande Prairie Storm continue the AJHL North Final against Whitecourt tonight in GP, as they lead the series 2-1 heading into Game 4.

Last night, the Storm picked up a 4-2 win in front of 2,571 Peace region residents, to take their first lead of the series.

Game 4 will now go again at 7 p.m., tonight, at Bonnett’s Energy Centre, before the series shifts back to Whitecourt for Game 5, with Game 6, if needed, back in Bonnett’s.

Currently, Storm Captain Colin Doherty leads the team in playoff scoring, with 4 goals, giving him 9 points.

Down south, the number 1-ranked Canmore Eagles have a stranglehold on their series with Drumheller, going for the sweep tonight on the road.
