GPPSD announces nominee for 2026 Edwin Parr Awards
The Grande Prairie Public School Division has announced its nominee for the Edwin Parr Award for first-year teachers.
Isabelle Kenny, a Grade 3 teacher at Isabel Campbell Public School, has been nominated for a dynamic instructional approach, commitment to fairness, and deep care for her students, says the division.
“Miss Kenny creates a classroom environment that radiates warmth, belonging, and purpose,” says Isabel Campbell Principal Teresa Rawlyk. “The sense of community she builds is evident the moment you step into her classroom. Her students are engaged, joyful, and deeply connected to both their learning and to one another. Her instructional approach is dynamic and inclusive.”
“We are thankful for Miss Kenny’s dedication to our students and to our school community,” shares Joan Nellis, Board Chair of GPPSD. “Her commitment to creating a supportive learning environment reflects the values we hold as a division. She brings skill and heart to her work every day, and we are grateful for the positive impact she has on her students and on our schools.”
