The post-season run for the Grande Prairie Storm ended Tuesday night in heart-breaking fashion.

A Brendan Ruskowski goal at the 10:54 mark of the first overtime period gave host Whitecourt a 2-1 win over Grande Prairie.

The Storm had taken a 1-0 lead on a Braeden Veldhuizen goal at 15:09 of the first period.

Wolverine Tristan Slywka scored at 13:21 of the second period to tie the game for Whitecourt.
