Kings draw first blood in NWJHL Final

Mar 15, 2019 | 7:40 AM

The JDA Kings are returning home with a 1-0 series lead in the North West Junior Hockey League Final.

This thanks to a 4-3 win in Overtime Thursday night in Game 1 in Fort St. John.

Trailing 3-2 going into the 3rd, the Kings once again showed their resilience by coming back and tying the game in the 3rd to force an extra frame and then complete the comeback in overtime.

“We have that never die, never quit attitude,” stated Kings Head Coach Kyle Chapple in an interview prior to Game 1 with EverythingGP. Thursday night was another prime example of this.

The Kings will now return to the County Sportsplex for Game 2 of the best of seven series which will be played Saturday night.

Face-off is at 8:00 p.m.
