The 14th edition of Alberta Open Farm Days is set for August 15 and 16.

The theme. “Farm Stories: Rangelands and Grasslands.” Organizers says is “with a focus on livestock producers and those who manage grazing lands.”

“As in past years, host farms will include corn and sunflower mazes, wineries, stables, petting zoos, craft breweries, along with honey, fruit, vegetable, grain and u-pick farms. More traditional farms are also well represented with livestock (cattle, poultry, bison, alpaca, sheep, llama, goat) farms and ranches and organic operations,” add organizers in a news release.

They also say that “farms, ranches, agri-businesses, ag societies, 4-H clubs and rural organizations are all encouraged to take part.”
