Feb 21, 2019 | 7:06 AM

The first round is in the books in the North Peace Hockey League and after five days off, the league will resume its post-season Thursday night.

Both NPHL semi-final series will begin Thursday with a pair of Game 1’s.

The Dawson Creek Canucks will play their first game of the post-season as they welcome the Manning Comets.

Dawson Creek had a bye in the 1st round as they finished in 1st place in the West division.

Meanwhile the Manning Comets played a gruelling series with the Grimshaw Huskies, which saw the Comets win in 6 games.

The two clubs only met twice during the regular season and Dawson Creek won both contests in mid November.

The other NPHL Semi-Final will feature the Grande Prairie Athletics visiting the Falher Pirates.

Grande Prairie eliminated the defending league champion Fort St.John Flyers in five games in the opening round, while the Pirates swept the High Prairie Regals.

The Athletics swept the season series between the two clubs winning 7-3 on November 16th, and 6-1 on January 12th.

Puck drop for both games is at 8:30 p.m.
