Bereaved Mother’s Day Brunch taking place in Grande Prairie May 3

A brunch event is taking place Sunday, May 3, in Grande Prairie to honour mothers who experienced the loss of a child.

The Bereaved Mother’s Day Brunch is organized by Peace Diagnostic Imaging and Tiny Hands of Hope to bring mothers and families together through compassion and understanding.

“For many bereaved mothers, Mother’s Day can carry a lot of pain alongside love,” said Cheryl Welford with Tiny Hands of Hope. “We wanted to create something that acknowledges both and gives space for their motherhood to be seen.”

The brunch will be open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a child, as well as their partners, families, and support systems.
