County of Grande Prairie issues fire advisory for entire area
A fire advisory has been issued for the County of Grande Prairie due to rising temperatures and no forecasted rainfall.
Effective 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, any burning done without a permit, excluding campfires, is prohibited for the entire county, including the towns of Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Wembley.
The County is still issuing fire permits, and all current permits are still valid.
They will monitor weather conditions and share more updates if the advisory is upgraded into a restriction or ban.
