Fire advisory in place for the Grande Prairie Forest Area

A fire advisory is in place for the Grande Prairie Forest Area because of the warm, dry weather. 

Fire watchers say that existing permits remain valid. New permits are issued on a case-by-case basis. Campfires are still allowed. 

The fire danger is rated high. 

The advisory will stay in place until the dry conditions get better.

Officials are also asking people to FireSmart their homes.
