Whitecourt wildfire now being held

A wildfire in the Whitecourt Forest Area is now being held.

Alberta Wildfire has reported that WWF017 is being held at 51 hectares in size.

The fire was first reported Sunday, May 10.

Firefighters are predicting strong winds Wednesday evening, and the evacuation order issued by Woodlands County remains in effect.
