Central Peace Health Complex Emergency Department closed overnight

Alberta Health Services says the Emergency Department at Spirit River’s Central Peace Health Complex will be closed overnight.

The closure will start at midnight and last until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19.

AHS says this is because of a staff shortage and not being able to find temporary coverage. Acute care nurses are still on site.

People with medical emergencies can still call 911 as EMS will be rerouted to other facilities.
