One person dead after crash on Highway 44

Slave Lake RCMP say a 45-year-old woman is dead after a two-vehicle collision on Friday. 

Mounties say that on May 15 at around 6:30 p.m., they were called out to the scene of the crash on Highway 44 near Township Road 684. 

Police say a black SUV was going north when it crossed the centre line and struck another SUV going south. 

A passenger in the southbound vehicle died at the scene. The two drivers were taken to hospital with what RCMP called “serious injuries.”
