Camp Tamarack to unveil new experience at annual Family Day Saturday

The greater Grande Prairie community is being invited to see all what Camp Tamarack has to offer this weekend, including a newly added feature before summer camps season starts.

The barrier free wilderness camp located on the outskirts of the City of Grande Prairie is hosting it’s annual Family Camp Day on Saturday, May 23, from 1-5 p.m.

Camp Tamarack will be unveiling it’s brand new bouldering experience on the pre-existing climbing tower. The upgrade has added low-height bouldering around the climbing tower to help young people build confidence, resilience, and independence through adventure and exploration, according to the Camp.

Family Camp Day allows residents to take in all of what the facility has to offer as well learn about programming.

Entry is by donation and activities are open to all aged 4+.

Activities to take part in are the new bouldering experience, giant swing, archery, empowerment with Elevation 365, Fairy Godmother Story Time with Grande Spotlight Events, as well as camp tours and a scavenger hunt!

The Giant Swing has limited capacity and will have timed sessions requiring a sign-up upon arrival.
