City of GP advising landscapers to confirm boulevard and property line locations

The City of Grande Prairie is reminding the community to do their research before undertaking any landscaping projects.

The city says it is important for residents to confirm property lines and understand boulevard areas, the portions of land along the front and sometimes side of titled properties that include trees planted and maintained by the city.

The city says knowing where boulevards are helps prevent damage to trees and underground infrastructure.

The city also has a local tree guide to help anyone planning on planting a tree know which species are best suited to the area.
