Canadian Armed Forces in Peace River for training exercise

The Canadian Armed Forces will be in Peace River this week for a training exercise.

The CAF has announced that approximately 6-10 personnel will be in the community from May 26 to 28 and will be undertaking exercises around reconnaissance and planning procedures.

Residents who see military personnel in uniform operating from civilian-pattern vehicles are advised to not be alarmed, as there is no emergency underway.

The training will help the CAF remain prepared to support provinces and territories during domestic operations.
