Residential shed fire extinguished before spreading to nearby homes

GPFD responded to a call in the Crystal Ridge neighbourhood on Friday morning (May 29).

At 8:30 a.m. crews arrived and found a shed on fire, spreading to two nearby homes.

The fire was then brought under control, with damage limited to just the outside of the homes.

A single occupant was inside one of the homes at the time of the fire, but a neighbour who reported the blaze managed to wake them.

At this time, an investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing.
