Local lacrosse team off to strong start in its first year

A local lacrosse team in its first year of existence is on a roll. 

The Junior B Peace Country Honey Badgers are 7-1 so far in their inaugural season and have won six straight games. 

They are in second place in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League standings behind only 7-0 Red Deer. 

The team includes 20 players from in and around Grande Prairie. Junior B includes the 16-21 age group. 

The Honey Badgers will host the Lakeland Heat June 6 and 7 at the Dave Barr Community Centre in their next set of games.
