County of Grande Prairie taking part in ParticipACTION Community Challenge

The County of Grande Prairie is taking part in an annual contest to prove they are the most active community in Canada.

Communities enter the ParticipACTION Community Challenge by having residents log their minutes spent while being active.

Contestants have a chance to win $100,000 towards local sports and physical initiatives.

The County has also created a 4-week schedule of self-directed activities to inspire anyone of any skill level to get involved.

“This challenge is open and accessible for everyone,” says Hayley Kramps, director of Recreation and Culture at the County. “Whether it’s hitting the gym or going for a walk in your community, or logging minutes while your child is at the playground, it all counts.”
