Applications open for City’s 2027 Community Group Funding

Jun 3, 2026 | 6:00 AM

Applications are now open for the City of Grande Prairie’s next Community Group Funding Cycle until June 29.

The program is a city funding stream for programs and services run by community groups that benefit the community and residents.

The funding is split up into four options: small grants up to $10,000, medium grants up to $25,000, large grants over $25,000, and capital grants, which cover up to 50 per cent of the total project cost.

“Local organizations know their communities best and are key partners in meeting the needs of residents,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton. “This funding helps empower groups to continue delivering valuable programs and services that make a meaningful difference across Grande Prairie.”

The City will be hosting support sessions June 22 to teach interested community groups how to apply.

  • Online session: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. (registration required)
  • In-person session: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Grande Prairie Museum, 10329 101 Avenue

Applications for the Community Group Funding Cycle closes June 29.
