Fox Creek work site murder trial begins in Grande Prairie

Oct 29, 2018 | 5:20 AM

A judge-alone trial starts Monday in Grande Prairie for the man charged after a double murder near Fox Creek three years ago.

Daniel Goodridge was charged with first- and second-degree murder, interfering with human remains and three counts of assault with a weapon in the deaths of a 37-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman at an oilfield work camp near Fox Creek in July 2015.

He was shot by RCMP and survived.

At the time RCMP said Goodridge was an occupant of the camp and knew the victims.

Two weeks have been set aside for the trial.
