Night 2 of the World Professional Chuckwagon Association’s stop in Medicine Hat, June 12, had cold temperatures and brisk winds but ideal track conditions.

Bodo’s Layne Flad took the top spot Friday night with a total time of 1:02.21, the fastest time of the meet so far.

Flad was followed by Troy Dorchester and Jason Glass in second and third place with times of 1:02.85 and 1:03.12, respectively.

Grande Prairie native and defending Medicine Hat champion Chanse Vigen ended the evening with the fifth fastest time of 1:03.54.

Vigen and Flad are both in the top three overall for the aggregate and are on track to advance to Sunday, June 14’s championship final heat.

The winner of the final will be crowned the 2026 Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede Champion.

Day 3 of the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede goes Saturday, June 13, at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
