Highway 40 southbound closed due to MVC

Clairmont RCMP and Alberta 511 are reporting a highway closure due to a motor vehicle collision just south of the city of Grande Prairie this morning (Tuesday, June 16).

The closure is affecting the southbound lanes of Highway 40, near Range Road 704 (Camp Tamarack) until further notice.

There is no word from authorities on how many vehicles are involved or if there are any injuries.

Alberta 511 is asking drivers to use alternate routes at this time.
