Tea at the Reverend Forbes Homestead returns July 8
Tea time in Grande Prairie is fast approaching.
The City of Grande Prairie’s annual tradition of afternoon tea at the Reverend Forbes Homestead returns next month.
The annual activity carries on the legacy of Agnes Forbes, wife of Reverend Alexander Forbes and one of the first healthcare providers in the area, who was known for offering tea and advice for her guests.
“Gathering over tea has long been a way to bring people together, and we’re excited to carry on that tradition at the Forbes Homestead,” said Mayor Jackie Clayton. “These afternoons create a meaningful connection between past and present, offering residents and visitors a chance to experience the history that helped shape our community.”
