Spirit River ED closed until this evening

The Central Peace Health Complex Emergency Department in Spirit River is closed until 7 p.m.

AHS says they had to close the ED “due to an unexpected shortage of clinical operations personnel and an inability to secure temporary coverage”; however, they do note that nurses will be on site in acute care.

Anyone with an emergency is still asked to call 911, as calls will be redirected to neighbouring facilities.
