Kim King February 19, 1966 – June 24, 2026
Dedicated Community Servant our Savior
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Kim King—the funny, eccentric, and unforgettable “Apex Security guy” so many knew and loved.
Kim passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, with exceptional care at Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton, with his beloved girl by his side, after courageously battling cancer following a difficult diagnosis.
Born on February 19, 1966, Kim had just celebrated his 60th year. We have truly lost an incredible man who dedicated more than 35 years of his life to protecting and helping others through his work in security, customer service, and technical support.
Although Grande Cache was always home in his heart, Kim made Grande Prairie his home in the late 1980s. Along the way, he was blessed with countless friends whom he considered family, from all over the world. He also had a profound love for his dogs, who brought endless joy and companionship to his life.
Kim loved the outdoors. Whether he was fishing, hiking, or gathered around a campfire sharing stories, those were the moments he treasured most.
Kim truly was a King of Hearts, remembered for his kindness, humour, and generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
Rest in peace, my friend, Mr. Kim King. Until we meet again. ❤️ XOXOO
