City of Grande Prairie ready for a “celebration of community” this Canada Day
Celebrations will get underway tomorrow (Wednesday, July 1) for the 159th birthday of the Great White North.
Mayor Clayton says the City is proud to plan and continue to grow the celebration in ways that allow “more people to enjoy the experience together.”
“Seeing residents gather in Muskoseepi Park year after year speaks to the importance of creating spaces where people feel welcome, connected and encouraged to take part.”
The annual City of Grande Prairie parade will get going at 2 p.m. and travel along 96 Street and 100 Ave, ending in the NWP parking lot, with road closures going into effect as of 6 a.m.:
