Canada Day 2026 festivities taking place in Grande Prairie

It’s Canada Day in Grande Prairie!

A massive crowd gathered downtown today to see the annual parade as floats, trucks, carriages and more drove through to celebrate the various organizations a, businesses and communities that call Grande Prairie home.

It proved to be a bright and sunny afternoon following multiple days of near constants cloudy skies and heavy rainfall.

Following the parade the crowd travelled to Muskoseepi Park where more festivities were taking place, ranging from live music to carnival rides and with plenty of food from local food trucks in attendance.

The activities at the park go from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. tonight, with a fireworks show planned at Legion Field at 11:30 p.m.
