Two other charges; distributing, selling or importing child pornography and accessing child pornography, were withdrawn.

Emond was given a two-year Conditional Sentence Order; a sentence that is served in the community, and one year probation.

He was set to stand trial June 29 through July 3.

Emond was arrested in September of 2023 after an investigation by ALERT. The investigation had started in January of that year.

Gillott was one of three people charged after a traffic stop on February 19, 2025, near Grande Prairie.

Grande Prairie RCMP said at the time a search of the vehicle turned up 95 grams of cocaine, 126 oxycodone pills, unstamped tobacco, and cash.

Four other charges, possession of stolen property and failure to comply among them, were withdrawn.

The six were arrested on September 6, 2024.

Grande Prairie RCMP said at the time they were investigating more than two dozen thefts when they were able to identify a suspect from video surveillance.

One of the other suspects was given jail time in October of 2024, while another was given a Conditional Sentence Order in February of 2025.

Charges against the other three were withdrawn.
