Two-time Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby champion Jason Glass is on a hot streak after winning back-to-back nights of chuckwagon racing in “cowtown.”

Day 6 of the Rangeland Derby saw perfect track conditions and a packed crowd at Calgary’s Stampede Park.

Glass captured the fastest time of the night with a time of 1:11.14, crossing the finish line 0.85 seconds ahead of second place Chad Fike. Jamie Laboucane placed third and Grande Prairie’s Dayton Sutherland claimed fourth.

Despite the consecutive wins, Glass sits just outside of the qualifying top spots for the Championship Final Heat after six nights of racing. Laboucane still holds the top spot in the aggregate with a combined time of 7:14.38, followed by Grande Prairie native Chanse Vigen in second, and Rae Croteau Jr. in the third rank.

The top three drivers in the aggregate following Saturday night’s races will advance to Sunday’s Championship Final Heat, where the winner will be crowned the 2026 Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby Champion.
