Yellow watches for severe thunderstorms out for Fox Creek, Whitecourt

Environment Canada has yellow watches for severe thunderstorms in place for the Fox Creek and Whitecourt areas.

The weather office says there is a risk of a tornado, along with the risk of heavy rain, hail and strong wind gusts. 

Similar watches are in place for areas east to the M.D. of Lesser Slave River by Chisholm and Cross Lake, and down through Edmonton, Wetaskiwin, Camrose, Vegreville and Athabasca.  

The areas around Edson, Rocky Mountain House and Yellowhead County near Elk River are under yellow warnings for severe thunderstorms.
