Alberta’s minister of municipal affairs, Dan Williams, is set to embark on a tour of Alberta, speaking with local politicians and other local leaders.

In all, he will visit 92 communities, the province says in a release.

“These visits are an opportunity to hear directly from municipal leaders about what’s working, what challenges they’re facing and how Alberta’s government can continue to be a strong partner,” says Williams.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the projects that are making a difference, helping communities remain safe, resilient and ready for the future.”

Tour stops will showcase projects supporting:

  • emergency services
  • roads and transportation infrastructure
  • public works operations
  • recreation and community facilities
  • wastewater infrastructure
  • public safety improvements

Part of the talk will also be about LGFF funding.

The first half of his itinerary can be found here.

The tour will continue through July 30.
