Resources Road construction to cause “significant delays”

Residents are being warned of “significant delays” along Resources Road, as construction is set to begin on Saturday (July 25).

The City says this project is part of its 2026 capital construction program and will consist of several upgrades along Resources Road between 68 Ave and 88 Ave:

Asphalt milling and paving
Storm system replacements
Concrete spot replacements
Pavement line markings

During construction, lane closures and shifts are expected, which the City says will lead to “significant delays,” especially during peak traffic hours and when a train passes through.
