Crews responding to watermain break in Peace River

Crews are responding to a major water main break which has roads partially closed off in Peace River. 

Despite deep freeze temperatures, workers are out on Main Street in the town near Shell. The intersection near the roundabout is where the break happened. Highway 744 and Main Street are partially closed to traffic while they fix the break. There are detour signs up for drivers.

It is estimated that the fix will take up to 12 hours to repair. After the condition of the break is figured out, an update will be provided. 

Peace River Water Operations has been notified.
