Bridge maintenance across Grande Prairie to start this week
Multiple bridges around the Swan City are slated to get inspections over the next few months as the city begins its annual bridge maintenance program following the Heritage Day Long Weekend.
This is done every year to make sure the structures are safe, as well as to preserve critical infrastructure and extend the service life of both traffic and pedestrian bridges.
Work is to start on Tuesday, August 4, with crews first looking at the pedestrian bridge near the Ernie Radbourne Pavillion in Muskoseepi Park before moving onto other locations.
Work is expected to continue until the end of October, weather permitting.
