PRRD wildfire prevention programs remain available

The Peace River Regional District is using the current wildfire situation in BC to remind residents about the importance of wildfire prevention.

PRRD adds that eligible residents can take advantage of it’s free wildfire prevention program, which has Mammoth crews come to the homes of seniors or those with mobility challenges and does physical wildfire mitigation landscape work.

That work includes “clearing gutters, removing yard brush, pruning trees, removing fuel sources near homes, chipping wood and completing ladder work.”
