County of GP to host free community celebration for upcoming anniversary

The County of Grande Prairie is honouring 75 years of resilience, community spirit, and growth next weekend at Evergreen Park.

A free two-day celebration will take place on Friday, Aug. 21, and Saturday Aug. 22.

County Reeve Amanda McDonald says “the County has been built by the people who live, work and invest in our community; this anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on our shared history, celebrate how far we’ve come, and look ahead to an exciting future.”

Residents can attend Evergreen Park for live performances, family activities, a local market, and “interactive experiences for all ages,” starting at noon Friday, and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
