August 10 to 16 is BeGrainSafe Week.
The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association says the week was started in 2017 after an increase in deaths from being trapped in grain.
The association says in a news release that from 2011 to 2020, 27 people died on Canadian farms from asphyxiation by grain or soil.
The association adds that Be Grain Safe offers rescue training for firefighters, prevention education and workplace training.
