MD of Peace reporting incorrect penalty amount in 2026 Tax notice

The Municipal District of Peace is informing residents of a mistake in the 2026 tax notice.

An incorrect penalty amount for payments made after July 1, 2026, would affect accounts with outstanding taxes from 2025 and any due after September 30 of this year.

The MD is advising residents to refer to Bylaw no. 10/2025 for the updated tax penalty rates:

• July 1 – 8%
• October 1 – 10%
• December 31 – 12%
