Cowboys, Centaurs playoffs and horse racing this weekend

Football

The Peace Country Cowboys will visit the Calgary Gators for an Alberta Football League semi-final game on Saturday.

Kick-off will be at 5 p.m.

These same two teams met in the final last year.

Rugby

The Centaurs’ men’s rugby team visits the Nor’westers for a playoff game Saturday in Edmonton.

The game will start at 2 p.m.

Horse Racing

There is horse racing Saturday and Sunday at Evergreen Park.

Post time will be 1:15 p.m. both days.

This will be the annual Memorial Day weekend.

Next weekend, August 22 and 23, will be the final weekend of the season.

August 23 will be Mr. Mike’s Paint the Park Purple Day in support of research into pancreatic cancer.
