Eastlink Centre aquatics area closing Sept. 1 for annual maintenance

The City of Grande Prairie is reminding residents the aquatics area at Eastlink Centre will be closed for scheduled maintenance next month.

The pool is annually closed in September to allow for annual inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs throughout the aquatics area.

“Whether someone is learning to swim, taking a fitness class, or spending time with family, we want every visit to Eastlink Centre to be a positive one,” said Recreation Director, Angela Redding. “The work completed during the shutdown may happen behind the scenes, but it plays an important role in protecting the facility and supporting the experience our guests look for when they visit.”

While the closure is taking place, Eastlink Centre members can use their membership for admission to the Aquatera Outdoor pool or make use of the centre’s dry land fitness classes, walking track and West Fraser Fieldhouse.
