Rising Above receives $3 million to “address unmet needs”
Rising Above in Grande Prairie is receiving $3 million dollars in funding to expand its addiction recovery capacity.
The province is supplying the funding to “address unmet needs in the community, strengthen the continuum of care, and help those experiencing addiction pursue recovery close to home.”
They add that this is part of their “ongoing efforts to strengthen Alberta’s Recovery Model by increasing access and reducing barriers.”
Minister of Mental Health and Addiction Rick Wilson says all Albertans deserve a chance to pursue recovery and “by making more treatment beds available in northwestern Alberta, we are giving more people the opportunity to live healthy, fulfilling lives free from addiction.”
