Grande Prairie man charged with trafficking methamphetamine

Grande Prairie RCMP say a report of a man in possession of a handgun has led to a drug arrest. 

Mounties say they got a call just before 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 that someone with a handgun was in the parking lot of the Eastlink Centre. 

Police found the man sitting in a vehicle when they got there, and the gun turned out to be a lighter. 

RCMP also found 423 grams of methamphetamine, 20 grams of cocaine, a gram of fentanyl and other items related to drug trafficking.
