September 1 crop report says just over three per cent of the crop harvested in the Peace

The September 1 crop report from the province and AFSC says that 3.3 per cent of the major crops in the Peace had been harvested by that date. 

The five-year average for the same time is 13.3 per cent completion; the 10-year average is 9.2 per cent. 

The report also says that 12.3 per cent of the dry peas, 6.3 per cent of the spring wheat and 3.9 per cent of the barley had been combined by the 1st. 

Just over 10 per cent of the crop has been harvested province-wide. 

The report also says heavy rain delayed harvest in some areas, and that was before the rain on Thursday and Friday last week. 

Pasture growth in the Peace is rated at 41 per cent good, 38 per cent fair, 13 per cent poor and eight per cent excellent.
