Wildfire risk in Grande Prairie Forest Area raised to moderate

The wildfire risk in the Grande Prairie Forest Area has risen back to moderate.

Alberta Wildfire is warning anyone in the area to be cautious, as windy conditions have increased the risk lately.

Currently the only wildfire of note is GWF058, which is listed as under control and 25 hectares in size near the BC border.

Except for campfires, any burning within the forest protection area requires a permit, which can be requested online or by calling the Grande Prairie Forestry office.
