Storm hosting final exhibition game of 2026 Friday night

The Storm will host Whitecourt Friday night to close out the exhibition season. 

Face-off at 6 p.m. at the Design Works Centre. The Bonnetts Energy Centre is hosting GrandeCon. 

The Storm beat the Wolverines 5-4 in a shootout Thursday night in Whitecourt. 

Cole Penner had two goals, including one in the final minute to force extra time. 

Penner also scored the shootout winner. 

The regular season kicks off next Friday, Sept. 18, at home versus Bonnyville.
