City of GP Transit information sessions planned for this week
Residents wanting to learn more about Grande Prairie Transit are invited to attend an information session this week.
On Wednesday, Sept. 16 and Friday, Sept. 18, the City is hosting Transit Discovery Day, an event designed for those who are “new to transit or want to feel more comfortable,” with free tours where City officials will go over “fares, passes, transfers, trip planning, accessibility features, requesting stops and navigating the Town Centre Mall Transit Hub,” and more.
Each session will begin at the Grande Prairie Public Library and will include a Transit 101 session, light snacks, beverages and door prizes.
Mayor Jackie Clayton adds that “being able to get around your community independently opens the door to so much more, whether that’s accessing services, getting to work or school, or taking part in community life.”
