Known offender arrested by Fairview RCMP following reports of suspicious vehicle
Fairview RCMP arrested a known offender Friday following reports of a suspicious vehicle.
On Sept. 11, Mounties received numerous calls regarding a vehicle spilling larger quantities of diesel fuel on the highway and allegedly driven by a known prolific offender.
With assistance from the Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, as the suspect was known to flee from police, officers stopped the vehicle once it was safe for the public and arrested the driver and passenger.
As a result, 39-year-old Luke Anderson of Fort McMurray and a 46-year-old resident of Grimshaw were charged with possession of stolen property over $5000, with Anderson facing additional charges:
