RCMP take two suspects into custody after pellet gun drive-by

Fairview RCMP investigated a reported drive-by shooting after a victim was shot in the head on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The victim sustained only minor injuries, as they were shot with a pellet gun after having a dispute with the suspects, according to RCMP.

The next day, Sept. 9, RCMP located the suspect vehicle at a residence and executed a search warrant, leading to the arrest of both suspects.

Twenty-eight-year-old Worsley resident Vannessa Michelle Basnett and 25-year-old Jaylee Brenda Rain Lizotte of Hines Creek were both charged with assault with a weapon and released from custody with court dates in the near future.
