UPDATE: Bear spotted in area of 108 Ave. and 88 St. removed from the area

UPDATE: Grande Prairie RCMP say that Alberta Fish and Wildlife has safely removed the bear from the area and thank the public for their cooperation.

The City of Grande Prairie is advising that a bear has been spotted within city limits.

RCMP and Alberta Fish and Wildlife are working in the area of 108 Avenue and 88 Street in Grande Prairie.

The public is asked to avoid the area, remain indoors, and keep all pets inside for the time being.
