GPES reminding residents of rules for electric bikes, scooters, and dirt bikes

Grande Prairie Enforcement Services is reminding residents to know the differences between e-bikes, e-scooters, and electric dirt bikes.

While there is some overlap between the vehicles, there are key differences, and they are subject to different provincial regulations and municipal bylaws.

E-bikes must be equipped with fully operable pedals and are not permitted on sidewalks, while E-scooters are permitted on City trails and pathways, but not on sidewalks or city roads, and electric dirt bikes are only to be used on private property.
